YEAR 2000 INFORMATION & RESOURCES
The Millennium Bug

I know you’ve read about the need for businesses and governments to update their computer systems and software so that the country will make a smooth transition to the year 2000. As January 1, 2000 draws near, I want to assure you that Spring Hill State Bank is already addressing the problem and making sure our systems will be ready.

Our bank’s “Y2K” readiness strategy is solidly in place, and we have nearly completed testing all of our systems to make certain that we’ve ironed out any bugs. Our goal is to complete our preparations by June 30, 1999 so that we will be ready well in advance of 2000.

Experts rank the financial services industry as Number One on Year 2000 readiness, and banks alone will spend at least $4 billion getting ready. Our bank’s federal and state regulators are closely monitoring our progress, and the bank has been working with our business customers and software vendors to make New Year’s Day 2000 just another holiday.

As always, our customers’ deposits are protected by FDIC insurance up to the $100,000 maximum. But if you have any questions about FDIC insurance protection for your accounts, would like to know more about the bank’s Y2K preparations, or simply would like to talk to us about any of the bank’s offering of products and services, I encourage you to contact us via E-mail, fax, telephone, regular mail or a personal visit.

During the changeover to Year 2000, and well beyond for that matter, we want you to know that Spring Hill State Bank will continue to be committed to providing you the very best in trusted financial know-how and the finest customer service.
